When I first saw this website, I knew I had to do something to help this man. Paralyzed from MS, Glenn has been a prisoner in his own home for years, itching to get out and do whatever he can to support the liberty movement. After hearing about the Veterans For Ron Paul March on the RNC, he decided that more than anything, he wanted to be in Tampa to march with Veterans for Ron Paul. To accomplish this, he needs a custom-built van that fits his wheelchair. As I’m sure you can imagine these vans aren’t cheap. He’s decided to use the power of the internet to try and pool as many resources as possible by July 11th so he can get his vehicle made in time for the march in August.

To help him out, I’m starting a new contest on Facebook: for one week, I’ll be posting statuses with the link to Glenn’s website urging people to help him out. Are you looking to jump into the exciting new field of independent media by supporting a voice for liberty while working your ass off for no pay? Expectations and time commitments vary with positions, (all roughly four 4-hour shifts/week) but in exchange for a serious commitment, we want to invest in you and help you get the practical skills & experience to help you advance your career. All internships start immediately and run until the end of the year. These positions will require working at the AVTM studios in Arlington, VA, but we are open to proposals for remote internships. Right now ADAM VS THE MAN needs:

EDITING/STUDIO PRODUCTION INTERN – This position is focused on video editing, but will also include tasks in studio production and occasional field work. MARKETING/ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN -  A social media marketing intern to help administer our social media marketing plan. Humor, wit, and knowledge of social media are required to fulfill this internship position. You’ll learn how ADAM VS THE MAN maintains an online presence and how to use social media to effectively engage an audience. MEDIA NETWORKING INTERN -  An intern to help with a new, special project that will help advance the general development of independent liberty media. Intern will be expected to take charge of a cross-promotional effort to build collaborations between independent liberty media producers. WEBMASTER INTERN – This internship comes with great power … and responsibility. Do you have programming or web coding skills? If you have ever wondered what it’s like to do what I do, to reach out to people and share with them the message of liberty in an entertaining and engaging way, this is your chance to find out! We are launching the official ADAM VS THE MAN STREET TEAM so that you and any other liberty-loving AVTM supporter can help spread the message of liberty to the people in your community. We are having our first outreach event this Memorial Day at the Rolling Thunder Ride For Freedom in Washington, D.C. to speak with the bikers about what freedom means to them.

Rolling Thunder is an annual demonstration of bikers who are riding in from all over the country to raise awareness for POW/MIA and veterans’ issues. They will be meeting at the Pentagon parking lot, riding to the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial to pay their respects and then convening in front of the Lincoln Memorial where there will be a stage with speakers and music acts. This is where we will be engaging with them. The AVTM STREET TEAM will rendesvous at the Korean War Memorial at 1:00pm on Sunday May 27th, and then we’ll walk over to the Lincoln Memorial as a group. As always, we will remain respectful and assume that everyone attending loves freedom and individual liberty – that’s a fair assumption, right?!
